Who We Are: NAMI Greater Houston’s Mission
For over 40 years, NAMI Greater Houston has been a beacon of hope, education, and advocacy for individuals and families affected by mental health conditions. As one of the largest and most active NAMI affiliates in Texas, we provide free, high-quality support, education, and resources to ensure that no one has to navigate mental illness alone.
Our mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals impacted by mental health challenges by offering compassionate, peer-led support and driving systemic change through advocacy. We work alongside community partners, mental health professionals, and local leaders to expand access to care, foster understanding, and build a more supportive Houston.

- CIT Officers & First Responders – Supporting those who have served through specialized resources.
- Faith-Based & Culturally Diverse Communities – Building partnerships to deliver tailored mental health education and support.
- Youth & Young Adults – Providing early intervention and youth-centered mental health initiatives.
